On March 7th and 12th, 2018, two groups of totally 23 customers from Philippines and Indonesia visited CQL, led by Castle Power (Philippines dealer) and TSU (Indonesia dealer). The customers were mainly top management and decision makers of Construction and Quarry companies.
The day started with presentations on CQL history, factory capacity and operation excellence strategy (Robert Pang), and product portfolio, service and support capability, dealer coverage, as well as SEM parts distribution through Caterpillar Distribution Center (John Sim), which raised great interest and good discussion on parts and components availability.
The SEM 60 years history video was played during the meeting, which showed the long history of SEM development and collaboration with Caterpillar. Customers were touched by the history pictures shown in the video and had a deeper impression that SEM is a reliable brand.
The customers then toured the various workshops (Fabrication, Transmission & Axle assembly, Main assembly), parts center and training center. Machine Demo, walk around and test drive also arranged in the afternoon. Customers learnt about the features & benefits, and impressed by SEM machine quality and support.
The visits had been a great success which increased the customer loyalty and the two dealers follow up with customers for around 50 units opportunities from now to year end.
